The Albion Park Harness Racing Club (APHRC) today announces its commitment to entertainment in 2012.
Following the remarkable success in attendance during the Christmas period and Winter Carnival for 2011, the Club is committing to provide live entertainment throughout 2012 to carry over the accomplishment.
The first Saturday of each month will be designated as ‘Live Entertainment Night’ which will kick off Saturday, 4 February with regular 2011 Albion Park performer, Kel Harper.
This first Saturday of the month will be in addition to feature race nights, which will also accommodate live entertainment guaranteeing patrons a brilliant night at the track.
The APHRC with sponsorship from All Crowd Catering will also be pushing forward with the popular Tuesday Poker Tournaments.
Texas Hold’em poker tournaments have paired themselves perfectly to the regular Tuesday Harness meetings and changed the dynamic of mid-week attendance.
Originally trialled as a Tuesday evening event beginning after the last race, APHRC management extended the initial trial period, re-positioning the games in line with the harness meeting. The results have seen new patrons frequent Albion Park and develop a healthy interest in the sport of Harness Racing.
Texas Hold’em Harness Tuesdays provide a new reason to make a mid-week visit to Albion Park. The poker tournaments are free to enter and thanks to the continued support of All Crowd Catering, reward the winner with a $75 cash prize, the Club providing $25 betting vouchers for second and third place.
The commitment to entertainment will be heavily conveyed with a significant push in social media marketing.
Brisbane will once again see full back bus advertising for the APHRC, along with print media in Quest Newspapers and ads on RadioTAB, all pushing the use of social media as the best way to keep in touch with Albion Park.
